Mesh description
Hybrid grid for the LEISA airfoil in cgns-unstructured format.
In the important near-wall and wake region (i.e., where LES behaviour is expected) the hybrid grid is identical to the mandatory structured grid. Only in the outer flow up to the farfield, isotropic triangles are used in order to save grid points and to improve convergence of unstructured flow solves.
In terms of spacial accuracy, the grid is considered well comparable to the mandatory structured grid.
Notes
All coordinates in the mesh file are normalized w.r.t. the (retracted) chord length of c = 0.6 m.
The mesh file contains only the xy-plane, so the mesh needs to be extruded in z-direction for 3D calculations. Mandatory extrusion settings: nz = 100 (number of spanwise layers), lz/c = 0.08 (spanwise extent)
